What is Welcome Japan CxO Council

CxO Council

Welcome Japan CxO Council was launched in February 2024 with the aim of creating a multicultural society. In this community, we provide a practical platform for sharing knowledge and best practices and promote multicultural coexistence, as well as innovation.
Through various dialogues and actions with supporters and persons involved, we encourage business development and career-building opportunities for refugees and evacuees to move towards independence and form an inclusive society.

About the symbol

The symbol of “Welcome Japan CxO Council” carries a theme of “Connecting feelings and Japaneseness”, where individuals, groups, and companies layer together and form one shape. This is an image of evolving through connecting and expanding, furthermore, as a symbol of creativity and communication beyond words. The Japanese culture of origami inspired us to come up with this design. The circle represents the “Whole-of-Society Approach” where the society works together as one, and it expresses the social expansion of refugee support services, as well as companies and organizations collaborating to expand the community. By leaving unconnected parts (spaces) intentionally, it expresses the idea of how an organization should be, which includes free will and open innovations.

Activity overview

CxO meeting (once a year)

It’s a place for business leaders to gather, network, and share the latest updates on refugee inclusion. External experts and frontline bearers join us as guests to share their thoughts, opinions, and best practices.

Study Session (twice a year)

It’s a place where we learn from each company’s initiatives and apply them to our own practices, as well as to promote co-creation. The field representative of our member company will conduct practical research on new inclusive business creation, employment creation, organization development, livelihood support services, and donations, all in line with various topics to act on (employment, education, housing, etc) regarding refugee inclusion.
