We aim to create a practice-based community of business diverse industries and sectors exploring how refugee inclusion can support both an inclusive Japanese society and sustainable economic growth.
Challenges
To generate business leaders communities that create a “refugee inclusion industry”.
While over 100 million people worldwide are forced to flee war, persecution, and disaster, the international community, including the business community, must come together to address the issue and to promote refugee inclusion and self-reliance support. This is why we have launched a community where Japanese business leaders come together and aim towards realizing a diverse refugee-inclusive society that is unique to Japan while at the same time promoting sustainable growth for the Japanese economy. We encourage open innovation through businesses beyond donation and employment, promoting social inclusion and financial independence for people with refugee backgrounds. We aim to co-create a “refugee inclusion industry”. To achieve this goal, the business leaders share their knowledge and best practices, providing a platform that promotes multicultural coexistence and innovation. Through dialogue and action with the actual people involved and their supporters, we encourage business development and expansion of career-building opportunities for refugees and evacuees.
What we do
Searching for a balance between realizing an inclusive society that is unique to Japan through the creation of a “refugee inclusion industry” and sustainable growth of the Japanese economy
As a platform for business leaders to share their knowledge and best practices and encourage multicultural coexistence and innovation, we provide the following opportunities. 1. CxO meeting (once a year): It’s a place for business leaders to gather, network, and share the latest updates on refugee inclusion. External experts join us as guests to share their thoughts, opinions, and best practices. 2. CxO Study Session (twice a year): It’s a place where we learn from each company’s initiatives and apply them to our own practices, as well as to promote co-creation. The good practices and research done in the area of business creation, employment creation, organization development, living support and donations are exchanged, all in line with various topics (employment, education, housing, etc.) towards refugee inclusion.
